    Associate Consultant (CSC)

    The Crisis Security Consulting team at Crisis24 is looking for an Associate Consultant to support our wider project deliverables. This role will be based in Cape Town, with regular travel overseas to support response and consulting tasks.

    We are seeking a candidate with geopolitical knowledge, language abilities, and a willingness to support bespoke, international projects. The ideal candidate will have a master's level education in a sector-relevant subject, 1-2 years of relevant work experience, and language abilities.

    The successful candidate will be involved in tasks and projects supporting the wider Crisis Security Consulting department. These may include bespoke reporting and threat assessments, analysing data, presenting it to clients, supporting operations during domestic and international deployments, and editing and proofing the work of peers.

    The Associate Consultant will work within the Associate Consultant team, supporting international consulting across various regions, as well as our Special Risks, All Hazards, and Product Risks response team. They will collaborate with the wider Crisis24 group and GardaWorld partners.

    To be successful in this role, you will bring:

    • A Master's level qualification in International Relations/Security Studies (or similar) or Honours level qualification
    • 1-2 years of relevant industry-specific experience or equivalent experience in lieu of Master's education
    • Experience in a variety of environments demonstrating adaptability
    • Flexibility for overseas deployments in potentially high-risk areas
    • Integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information
    • Understanding of Security and Risk Management principles based on best practices
    • High standard of written/verbal English; business-level proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Polish is prioritized
    • Time management skills to meet tight deadlines
    • A team player who can operate independently when required
    • Interest in geopolitical and security issues and their impact on global sectors
    • IT literate with knowledge of Windows programs and applications
    • Eligibility to reside/work in South Africa
