- Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered mining equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Replace faulty parts as needed
- Ensure efficient operation of machinery to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective workflow
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
- Grade 12
- N2 Certificate in Engineering (Diesel Mechanic)
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a diesel mechanic, in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related components
- Experience in the following Machienery:
- Komatsu PC4000, PC5500, WA1200
- Liebherr 9200, R996B
- Caterpillar 994F, 740B, 745C - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
- Salary: R750k-R950K per year
- Family Responsibility Leave (if applicable)
