    Your Role as Global Key Account Development Manager

    The Global Key Account Development Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end commercial customer journeys, managing relationships, and developing business opportunities related to their dedicated portfolio of accounts. They will act as the primary representative towards customers across all services and business units, providing strategic insights and translating customer needs into achievable plans.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Directly manage key accounts, aligning with agreed targets, goals, and company guidelines, while identifying customer needs and selling full-range services.
    • Understand the customer's organization and decision-making process, as well as their business model and competitive environment.
    • Negotiate rates and service contracts with customers, ensuring alignment with business units and functional units.
    • Develop expertise in KN's vertical service offerings and maintain accurate documentation of commercial requirements.
    • Comply with KN sales management processes and systems, ensuring timely updates and performance monitoring against set targets.
    • Ensure that account plans are in place, signed off by respective sales managers, and effectively hand over new business to operations.
    • Conduct regular review sessions with assigned customers, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence delivery.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Demonstrable experience within the logistics industry or relevant industry verticals.
    • Strong leadership skills to drive key account initiatives, establish direction, and build a sense of identity for the team.
    • In-depth knowledge of specialist sectors, high customer orientation, and excellent communication skills for building trusting relationships.
    • Strategic and growth mindset for proactively developing effective solutions, incorporating industry trends, and delivering continuous improvement.
    • Ability to communicate credibly and effectively at all levels, including senior stakeholders, with strong stakeholder management skills both internally and externally.
    • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

    Estimated Salary: R 1,200,000 - R 1,500,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
