Groups R Us (Pty)Ltd is looking to hire an internal compliance officer to complete a three year training internship process under our external compliance officer, within our Pretoria branches.

The job is demanding and highly nuanced and will require:

Preferably a qualification in law or an insurance related field or at least 5 years of industry related experience.
Qualified attorneys will be at a significant advantage in the short listing process.
The ability to work under pressure, and serve as an interlink between the sales team and our external compliance officer and admin departments ensuring that the business grows whilst meeting the highest possible standards.
A proven competence in administration and the management of administration functions.
A proven competence an aptitude in a sales related environment and in dealing with clients on a day to day basis.
The ability to travel to meet clients and conduct audits for periods of time during the year.
Own transport is essential.
Knowledge on Financial legislation such as FICA will be to the advantage of the applicant.

The package will also include a fully paid internship with the view to becoming a qualified and registered compliance officer specializing in the FIC and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) space.

The successful applicant will be exposed to the insurance industry, including risk mitigation, internal compliance standards and audit, administration management and sales compliance design and implementation.

Please note that relevant industry experience and a qualification in the insurance or legal field will be essential in being short listed for interview.

Salary expectations: 15k-25k as a starting salary, depending on experience, skill set and aptitude.
