Description
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Wine Tasting Assistant Manager.

In this role, you will assist the Wine Tasting Centre Manager in overseeing all aspects of our tasting room operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and promoting our brand.


Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Assist in managing daily tasting room operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, staff management, sales, admin ect.
  • Getting the POS ready (Float, change etc);
  • Orders Dispatch;
  • Team Briefing and debriefing;
  • Balancing of cashups;
  • Staff Hours;
  • Staff Wages;
  • Staff Tips;
  • Back of house kitchen orders (in the absence of the WTC Manager);
  • Wine orders;
  • Processing of orders (Capreo and Capeardor);
  • Wine stock take;
  • At times conducting wine tastings and assisting on the floor;
  • End off the day cashup;
  • Assist with staff training and development to ensure product knowledge, service standards, and sales techniques are upheld;
  • Assist with organize and execute special events, private tastings, and wine club events;
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including tasting areas, retail displays, and backofhouse spaces;
  • Monitor and report on tasting room sales;
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Previous experience in a wine tasting room or hospitality environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
  • Knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and production processes.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, events and evenings as needed.
  • Fully Bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
  • Own reliable transport.
