  • The Platform Lead is focused on delivering technology solutions to Markets Front Office, particularly focused on FX within Electronic Trading (eTrading). The purpose of this role is to manage a talented team involved in the research, design, development, implementation and day to day operational management and support of highquality, mission critical, electronic pricing and trading platforms within the eTrading (FX) business. The Platform Lead also owns and is accountable for all delivery commitments.

experience and qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering (or related)
  • Preferred Qualification
  • Master's degree (beneficial)
  • Certifications in Financial Markets, DevSecOps, Cloud, Agile (beneficial)
  • Technical Knowledge/ Skills and Experience
  • Enterprise architecture, software development lifecycle, supporting "mission critical" production platforms and project management
  • Integration, connectivity, messaging
  • Internal and external analysis of client needs in electronic markets/eTrading
  • Creation of value in the competitive electronic markets/eTrading landscape

  • Relevant experience
  • Minimum 10 years Global Markets and/or Financial Services experience

responsibilities:


  • Assist in design and build of solutions across technology, people and processes to achieve maximum benefit and minimum longterm cost
  • Guide the functional evolution and highlevel technical architecture of software solutions with inhouse and vendor mix to support the growth of the eTrading business in FX
  • Accountable for all aspects of the platform including reducing technical debt, runthebank as well as changethebank
  • Manage production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation and effective communication to business, technology and vendor partners.
  • Ensure systems are appropriately configured and work optimally and is 'fit for purpose'
  • Continually monitor platform and identify improvements in quality of the product
  • Provide daytoday technical expertise and operational support to obtain highest degrees of production stability for Front Office
  • Deploy systems monitoring and controls to provide adequate risk controls and alerts
  • Follow standardised delivery models and quarterly business review process in committing to and prioritising BoW comprising projects, planned BAU and unplanned BAU
  • Be responsible for resource management and the allocation of work based on priorities for the platform
  • Ensure projects are correctly classified and appropriately incorporated into scheduled releases balancing IT integration, connectivity needs and business implementation requirements
  • Execution of release management strategy and plans which are fully integrated with IT governance, project lifecycle checkpoints, and release policies and processes
  • Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
  • Clearly define the deliverables and roadmap for the platform and translate this into user stories and agile constructs
  • Provide strategic stakeholder engagement to scope, initiate, prioritise and execute projects whilst actively managing expectations
  • Maintain oversight of platform implementation, ensuring required level of strategic decision making and futureproofing
  • Analyse trading strategies in the market and assess the extent to which the platform is performing and engage with respective stakeholders as appropriate
  • Provide ongoing technologybased innovation and collaboration in the eTrading space
  • Generate analytics for monitoring and continual improvement purposes and communicate effectively
  • Identify, build and maintain relationships with key industry players and provide direction from industry
