    Our client seeks a Registered Nurse for their private care facility in Johannesburg.

    Responsibilities:
    • Use nursing knowledge and judgment to assess health needs,
    • Provide care, advice, and support to all.
    • Practice independently and in collaboration with other health professionals,
    • Perform general nursing functions, and delegate to and direct enrolled nurses, healthcare assistants, and others.
    • Provide comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, and evaluate an integrated plan of health care, and provide interventions that required substantial scientific and personal knowledge, skills, and clinical decision-making. You would do this in partnership with individuals and their families.
    • Assisting the manageress to support care staff through the development, implementation, and evaluation of care processes in accordance with policies
    • Includes direction and delegation to healthcare assistants and the facility team.
    • Providing leadership to enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants
    • Role modelling both nursing standards and behaviours and values, principles, and policies.
    • Providing direct care as required.
    • Providing nursing care that is consistent with the South African Nursing Council's competencies for Registered Nurses and the nursing council "domains". This includes personally delivering care and providing guidance or direction to other care staff (i.e., shift leadership).
    Skills & Experience Requirements:
    1. Registered with the Nursing Council of South Africa as a Registered Nurse. (Non-negotiable)
    2. Hold a current South African Nursing Council Annual Practicing Certificate. (Non-negotiable)
    3. Experience with the elderly and dementia patients. (Non-negotiable)
    4. Communication techniques such as conflict resolution, diffusion, and mediation skills.
    5. Have a commitment to ongoing development of nursing skills and in-service education.
    6. Role models professional nursing.
    7. Ability to 'work together' in a collaborative manner.
    8. Ability to 'work smarter' by being innovative and proactive.
    9. Accept responsibility for actions.
    10. Be prepared to undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the manageress when required.
