Description

Responsibilities

1、 Set the PR communications strategy for the South African market in alignment with company-level objectives and strategies.

2、Lead PR activities in the South African market, in alignment with global strategies and objectives, to support key product launches, brand campaigns, promotional activities, and events.

3、Strengthen relationships with key journalists, generate positive news coverage with top media outlets, and strengthen the company's brand image in the South African market.

4、Represent the company at industry events, media briefings, and other offline activities in the South African market.

5、Create and review English content in alignment with global messaging to support daily and project-based PR communications, including media kits, media pitch documents, branding stories, speeches, etc.

6、Lead the monitoring of risks in the South African market and the management of any and all crises to protect and maintain brand reputation and consumer trust.

7、Manage the South African market's agencies to support the implementation of day-to-day PR work.

Requirements:

1、Based in or can relocate to Cape Town.

2、Have a bachelor's degree or above, with a major in communications, marketing, journalism or related fields.

3、Can communicate fluently in English; Chinese language capabilities are preferred but not required.

4、Possess 6-10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in PR and media relations. Event management experience is preferred.

5、Can proactively lead the planning, management, tracking, and reporting on PR activities of the South African market.

6、Can work remotely and travel as needed.

7、 Possesses excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, and the ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.

8、Have a passion for technology and entrepreneurship, and is interested in helping us build our PR and media relations capabilities the South African market.
