Technician - Rustenburg, South Africa - Gilbarco Veeder Root

Description

Responsible for full maintenance, repairs and replacement and installation of hose nozzles, transmitter coils, VIU 3 / 35 units, Data pass, Wireless technology, Enhance, TLS 2, TLS 350, EMR 3,EMR4, Curb side pumps, GVR units on vehicles and fixed sites as well as the programming of these units.

Also responsible for updating workbook onsite, keeping safety file up to date, 2.9.2 appointment on site and assisting site manager with day-to-day operation of site.

Position will be based in Rustenburg at Sibanye Stillwater and be required to assist with work required between Sibanye Stillwater in Marikana and Impala Platinum in Rustenburg


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure Gilbarco / Mine Health & Safety procedures and policy compliance
• Ensure Gilbarco/MINE Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.
• Ensure Gilbarco Standard operating Procedures (SOP) compliance.
• Complete job cards as per Gilbarco SOPs when required.
• Ensure that mining technician KPI's are followed and adhered to.
• Complete all installations and checklists as per relevant Gilbarco SOPs
• Complete all maintenance, repairs, maintenance and checklists on fixed site and mobile bowsers as per relevant Gilbarco SOPs
• Complete quality control inspections on all installations as per relevant Gilbarco SOPs
• Complete DDS department requests as and when required.
• Accommodate on-the-job practical training of Vehicle Technicians and Technicians as and when required.
• Accommodate on-the-job supervision of Vehicle technicians and technicians as and when required.
• Ensure availability for after-hours call outs on any Gilbarco equipment.
• Ensure availability for evening and weekend stand-by duty.
• Ensure that all problems and issues with Gilbarco and related equipment be communicated to the site manager or regional manager for immediate attention.
• Ensure that all communication with the client be facilitated through the site or regional manager.

Ensure that Gilbarco management and BI is informed of any issues or failures of equipment in a timorous manner so that appropriate corrective steps can be taken.

Education and Experience

Minimum Senior Certificate

N5 / N6 / S4 / S5 technical / electrical, electronic qualification


Requirements:

Valid Driver's License
Own Vehicle
Need to reside within a 40km radius


Salary:
R R50.00 per hour


Ability to commute/relocate:

• Northam, Limpopo: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Diploma (preferred)

Experience:

- mining: 2 years (preferred)


License/Certification:
- driver's licence (required)
