    Description

    Civil Engineer

    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with expertise in tailings engineering and experience in CPTu testing and interpretation, slope stability, seepage analysis, and FEM software like Geostudio.

    About the Role

    The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering, with 4 - 7 years of experience in tailings engineering. Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer would be advantageous.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Design and implement effective solutions for tailings engineering projects
    2. Conduct CPTu testing and interpretation, slope stability, seepage analysis, and FEM software like Geostudio
    3. Develop and maintain accurate records of project progress and outcomes
    4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
    5. Analyse data and provide insights to inform decision-making
    6. Maintain proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or ModelMaker software
    7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

    Requirements

    1. Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering
    2. 4 - 7 years of experience in tailings engineering
    3. Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (advantageous)
    4. Knowledge of soil mechanics
    5. Experience in geotechnical engineering (advantageous)
    6. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    7. Valid driver's license and passport
    8. Fluency in English
