    Description

    Frostbyte is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join its rapidly growing Information Technology team in Software and Data Engineering. This role involves working closely with other Systems Administrators, Network Administrators, and Technical Services leadership to ensure the installation, monitoring, and support of systems on-prem and Azure.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Maintain and support IT Infrastructure, including SDE Servers, Network and Application Infrastructure.
    2. Monitor system uptime and availability, and implement strategies to increase change velocity.
    3. Drive innovation, prioritization, and engineering of new cloud capabilities to enhance the operating model.
    4. Deploy, monitor, and support mission-critical cloud-based applications within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
    5. Participate in on-call support to ensure stability and performance of production environments.
    6. Respond to monitoring alerts according to defined playbooks and procedures.
    7. Collaborate in Post Incident Reviews and discussions.
    8. Develop automation to prevent problem recurrence, and automate responses to non-exceptional service conditions.
    9. Serve as a subject matter expert in reducing and resolving production incidents by identifying preventive controls and driving proactive efforts.
    10. Implement and refine high-quality processes and standards for infrastructure and technical operations that support agile practices and a fast-paced environment.
    11. Manage changes and release pipeline of software builds via DevOps.
    12. Work with offshore service providers to provide capacity and delivery when necessary.
    13. Support and maintain SDE monitoring and analytics to address unique operational challenges.
    14. Maintain and update SDE Asset register.
    15. Monitor and maintain network security both internally and externally, adhering to SDE scope of work.
    16. Develop and maintain relevant IT Infrastructure policies, procedures, and governance.
    17. Generate and maintain service and product documentation, including SOPs and Change Control.
    18. Configure and deploy system settings, including Windows Server and Virtualization.
    19. Support and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in collaboration with Frostbyte's security team.
    20. Maintain and support SDE patch management.
    21. Mentor and up-skill 1st line technical support resources.
    22. Produce daily and monthly operational reports, trending correlation reports, and Root Cause Analysis of incidents.

    Preferred Skills

    1. Extensive experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure solutions, including Compute, Storage, Network, and Security services.
    2. In-depth knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery, and high availability strategies for Microsoft Azure environments.
    3. Proficiency in IaaS and PaaS services.
    4. Expertise in Windows Server and SQL database creation, configuration, upgrade, migration, and patching.
    5. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
    6. Ability to identify and troubleshoot Azure server and SQL database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resources.
    7. Strong understanding and background of working with complex Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, and adherence to standards, procedures, and processes.
    8. Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, and Windows Authentication.
    9. Knowledge of network protocols such as: DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP.
    10. Knowledge of Network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting.
    11. Knowledge of Cisco network equipment/IOS: routing, switching, and firewalls.
    12. Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
    13. Working knowledge of VPN connectivity and client troubleshooting.
    14. Experience with Azure AD, Active Directory, including managing/maintaining GPOs.
    15. In-depth understanding and experience with TCP networking: IP addressing, Routing.
    16. Switch maintenance and configuration.
    17. LAN WAN administration.
    18. Experience working with Veeam Backup and Replication.
    19. Experience working with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
    20. Experience working with Symantec Endpoint protection.
    21. Experience working with Dell hardware.
    22. Experience working with Cisco network devices.

    Job Requirements

    This role requires a mid-senior level professional with strong technical expertise in systems administration and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure solutions, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
