Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Drilling Supervisor to oversee all raisebore drilling activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervisory experience, particularly in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day drilling operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to plan and execute drilling operations on time and within expectations.
• Monitor key drilling parameters, including depth, angle, and bit performance, to ensure optimal results.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and project specifications.
• Lead and motivate the drilling crew, providing guidance and training for effective task completion.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members, promoting clear understanding of roles and expectations.
• Maintain drilling equipment in good working order, troubleshooting issues as needed and coordinating repairs.
• Manage inventory of drilling tools and supplies, ensuring timely availability.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols on the drilling site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adequate safety measures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, prioritizing personnel safety.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 and relevant technical qualification
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience in the mining industry
• Fluency in English
• Possible secondment to Africa & India as an expat (optional)
• The position can be based in various regions of South Africa
