Key responsibilities include the following:
- Compilation of the annual operational and capital budgets requirements in relation to projects undertaken in the financial year
- Maintain cost effective financial management and departmental compliance as per University's Policies and Procedures
- Review and authorize invoices received within the delegation of authority from contractors and suppliers in relation to work done
- Establish Planned and Reactive Maintenance Processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Establish and implement ongoing engagements with the relevant stakeholders and create ongoing engagements
- Update and communicate any changes on policy or procedural guidelines in the execution of operational implementations of projects
- Establish Inter-Departmental Engagement Processes and related Service Level Agreements
- Have Constant engagements with outsourced services providers on matters relating to projects
- Consultations with OHS on weekly basis to ensure compliance and regular reporting on safety matters and remedial actions to be implemented
- Set and manage performance outputs of each direct report and manage poor performance of employees
Requirements:
- Grade 1
- Post Graduate Degree in Engineering/ Operations Management (or in any related Facilities Management Studies) Project Management Qualification will be an advantage
- Understanding of integrated facility management within the higher education sector will be advantageous
- Valid Driver's License
