    Role Overview

    As an Electrical Designer in our Vehicle Systems team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and integrating electrical systems and components for vehicle applications. This includes working on high-voltage systems, power distribution, wiring harnesses, and associated control electronics.

    You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and innovative electrical solutions that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements of the automotive industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop electrical systems and components for automotive applications, including power electronics, wiring harnesses, and circuit boards.
    • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs for vehicle systems.
    • Perform electrical load analysis, circuit simulation, and component selection to ensure system performance and reliability.
    • Work closely with mechanical engineers and system engineers to integrate electrical systems with other vehicle subsystems (e.g., infotainment, powertrain, lighting, ADAS).
    • Lead the design and development of wiring harnesses, connectors, and cable routing solutions to meet vehicle design specifications.
    • Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, SAE J1939) and work to meet safety and quality standards.
    • Conduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of vehicle systems and components.
    • Develop and review design documentation, including design reports, test plans, and certification documentation.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select components and manage design changes.
    • Support the manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring that electrical designs are correctly implemented and meet production requirements.

    What We Are Looking For

    • Qualifications:
      • A Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
      • Proven experience (2-5 years) in electrical design, ideally within the automotive or vehicle systems sector.
    • Skills & Knowledge:
      • Strong experience with electrical system design for automotive applications (high-voltage, low-voltage, power distribution).
      • Proficient in electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Altium Designer).
      • Solid understanding of wiring harness design, circuit analysis, and component selection.
      • Experience with automotive standards and protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay, ISO 26262).
      • Knowledge of simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice).
      • Experience with electrical testing and validation, including power analysis, insulation resistance, and EMC testing.
      • Familiarity with automotive safety standards and regulatory requirements.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
