Position Overview:

The Marketing Manager, Pet Health and DTC Marketing owns related marketing strategy and works in alignment with Commercial leaders (Heads of Sales) in designing and implementing market specific strategies that prioritise Pet Health Brands and direct to consumer marketing execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic marketing plans for focus brands, aligned with global strategy for global brands and independently for local brands.
• Create online and offline marketing activities that enable commercial deliverables.
• Support sales teams with promotional materials, events, and customer value selling to ensure marketing priorities and objectives are met.
• Grow expertise of product portfolio, services, competition, and market trends.
• Manage allocated marketing budget effectively, maximising ROI.
• Influence pricing strategies with commercial team.
• Owning the Product Portfolio involves steering pipeline innovation projects from initiation to launch, evaluating cost reduction opportunities, and driving profit maximization/optimization strategies.
• Maintain high compliance standards, identifying changing requirements and implementing latest policies/procedures.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Align marketing strategies with commercial teams, leveraging Technical Consultants to create technical marketing messages.
• Partner with Regulatory function to drive Innovation and Life Cycle Management agenda.
• Work with supply and quality to influence product availability and reduce inventory risk.
• Efficiently collaborate with responsible functions to assure smooth promotional material compliance with industry and internal requirements.
• Engage with the internal global marketing community for best practice sharing and continuous learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Professional marketing qualification with +3 years' experience building/executing Pet Health and direct to consumer marketing strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.

Location and Travel:

The position is based in Johannesburg, with flexibility for remote work. Travel within South Africa up to approximately 25%. International travel as required.
