Description
The Assistant Area Manager is ultimately responsible for assisting the Area Manager on the day to day operating activities of his/her relevant Area with regards to financial, business/marketing and people management for the branches forming part of his/her area.
Qualifications:
- Matric
- A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
- Drivers License
Experience:
Minimum three years management experience in the financial industry

Knowledge and Skills:
Financial Management Continuously manage and monitor branch performance with regards to the following: - New business loan advances - Interest Revenue - Fee Income - Branch expenses - Age analysis - Provisions and impairments - NPAT Business Management - Ensure implementation of and compliance with internal policy as determined by Executive management - Ensure regulatory compliance on branch level - Ensure adherence to collections policies and procedures in Branches - Ensure adherence to other company Policy requirements and procedures - Ensure timely and accurate reporting on area and within branches - Ensure reporting accuracy on a daily, weekly and monthly basis - Provide operational support to branch network in area.
Ensure maintenance of company hardware and software Sales and Marketing Management - Develop implement Sales and Marketing plans to improve branch performance - Effectively implement sales and marketing plans - Measure plan effectiveness and implement correct actions where required - Actively focus on marketing and cross sell of non loan products - Drive community participation through focused marketing activities - Develop and implement marketing action plans in branches to drive business volumes.

People Management - Manage, motivate and monitor branch personnel and their performance - Ensure active 360° communication between branches and executive - Facilitate decision making and problem solving in branches - Manage staff training requirements and facilitate training - Effectively manage staff movement
