About the Position

Clariter is developing its global activities, and our growing operational team is looking for a hands-on and experienced Process Operator.

As a valuable member of our team, you will be operating production equipment on Clariter's Industrial Demonstration Plant, ensuring smooth and safe operations, and preserving the high quality of our products and will report to the Shift Manager.

Responsibilities:

Operating production processes in line with Clariter's safety standards and standard operating procedures

Ensuring production continuity and execution of production plans

Providing knowledge related to technology and processes

Taking an active role in creating and updating manuals

Supporting the creation of production reports

Monitoring stocks of production materials

Cooperation with the maintenance team

Supporting Clariter's R&D

Taking an active role in Clariter's process optimization and improvement programs

Doing standby (fire watch) duties during hot-work and confined space entry

Conducting plant inspections

Reporting any incidents/accidents to the Shift Manager

Conducting gas tests using a gas meter

Logging all critical shift events in the shift log-book

Conducting start-up and shut-down on process equipment

Requirements:

A National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Process Technology, and at least 2 years of process controller/operator experience in the petrochemical industry or an oil & gas refinery

Or, alternatively:
NQF level 4 Chemical Plant Operations and at least 4 years of professional experience as a Process Operator in the petrochemical industry or an oil & gas refinery
