- Managing, monitoring and diagnosis of operational processes - Designing and optimising Azure data lake and Data Warehouse systems – Use practical and data knowledge of a group of tasks, together with theoretical guidelines and familiarity with the team's skill set to develop and maintain DA Platform services.
- Designs and builds the architectural frameworks and guidelines to develop and continuously deploy data assets. Diagnoses current problems and anticipates potential issues.
- Reviews and investigates technologies to enable data citizenship, and encourage data stewardship within the business. Guides and transfers knowledge regarding data management to both internal and external teams, working towards building data assets for the De Beers Group.
- Collaborates and partners with vendors, DB teams and Anglo-American Data & Analytics Teams to leverage and validate, best practices, processes and technologies. Qualifications:
- IM Professional Qualification (Degree/Diploma)
- ITIL Foundation
- Data Management Foundational training (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Business Analysis training will be an advantage.
- Project Management training will be an advantage.
- +5 years of leading Azure Data Lake, DW and BI development and architecture

Job Description:The purpose of this is role is to support the business strategy of leveraging data to directly drive business value, by delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms and services.
The role is responsible for leading the design, development and deployment (inc. support) of the Advanced Analytics Platform base architecture (Data Lake and Data Warehouse) required for running DA services and solutions.
The role also oversees and promotes 'data management' across both IM and the wider business, by influencing key champions to increase the awareness (and adoption) of how analytics and data management must work side-by-side to optimize processes in day to day operational business activities.
