Marketing Manager - Cape Town, South Africa - Airush Kiteboarding

This position is only open to South African residents, and valid work permit holders, with an active interest in kiteboarding.

Applicants who do not currently kiteboard will not be considered, as the position requires hands on experience.

Are you a marketeer, passionate about brand building and storytelling, with the technical ability to communicate the finer details of a new product? Solar Station Design is looking for a kiteboarding enthusiast to fill the role of Marketing Manager for Airush Kiteboarding in our Cape Town office, situated in Muizenberg.

Your primary role will be to create and distribute media, along with technical product information, to support product communication and sales.

Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brands, managing our communications.
Plan and implement international marketing programs and strategies.
Oversee digital marketing strategy, athlete program, and all omni-channel touch points.
Produce and proof product and marketing copy for print, web, and video projects.

Manage marketing information and media, communicate with the team and network, and ensure timelines are up to date, and deadlines are met.

Manage a range of promotional and point of sale material to offer to the distribution network, including supplier information, pricing, quotes, orders, and logistics.

Manage communication from the brand to all end customer facing touch points.
Manage 3rd party media accounts for magazine ads, advertising, etc.

Education, experience, and skills required:

Applicants must have an active interest in water sports.
Applicants must have a tertiary business, sales or marketing qualification.
Ability to write creatively and communicate in English - Additional languages would be advantageous.
Must be knowledgeable in online as well as traditional marketing.
Knowledge of programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Entourage and Outlook are imperative.
Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential.
