    Description

    Managing Director required for a reputable NPO company based in East London , Eastern Cape

    Requirements:

    • A degree relevant to the management of an NPO/Rehabilitation centre (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Business management) from an accredited institution.)
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial position, including HR management.
    • History and understanding of NPO field - A minimum of 5 years' experience in Non-Profit organisations – alternatively an understanding of the Non-Profit sector.
    • Proven acumen with financial management
    • Fluent in English Language (Afrikaans and Xhosa additional languages beneficial).
    • Good presentation and personal hygiene.
    • Good communication skills
    • Good time management skills
    • Computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc)
    • A valid Driver's licence essential (own vehicle beneficial).
    • An understanding of Substance Use Disorder beneficial
    • Project management experience

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and manage the Out-patient, in-patient and prevention areas of the organisation.
    • Maintain all relevant licensing requirements for the organisation.
    • Report writing and submissions, Financial Management and knowledge (basic) of reading financial reports.
    • Fundraising and liaison with donors and funders.
    • Manage a diverse team of staff.
    • Reporting to the Board of Management on the organisations achievements and challenges; arranging, co-ordinating and participating in regular Board meetings.
    • Maintain the clean audit history of the Organisation; Financial management is a necessary skill for this position.
    • Maintain and grow the organisation financially, and operationally.
    • Marketing and presentation of the organisation to the public.
    • Interaction with community and corporate stakeholders.
    • Source and submit funding applications.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the organisation
