A reputable boutique hotel based in sea point, is looking for a pro-active, energetic, well spoken, presentable and confident Assistant Restaurant Manager to supervise the floor and ensure best service of their roof top bar/restaurant in place of the Manager.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Order Stock.
  • Do stock count.
  • Staff management and staff training.
  • Understand back end of systems, preferrable GAAP.
  • Respond to mails, especially follow up on bad reviews.
  • Ensure opening and closing counts are conducted daily.
  • Variances to be recorded and controlled daily.
  • Act as Duty Manager
  • Shift and weekend works required

Experience:


  • 2 years in Restaurant Management in an HOD role advantageous
  • 2 years floor, stock, bar, and variances management advantageous
  • Hotel experience necessary
  • Staff management

Personal Attributes:


  • Be proactive and handson
  • Be a team player
  • Be detail oriented and a problem solver
  • Able to use initiative
  • Own transport a PLUS.
  • Living around CBD or Atlantic Seaboard a PLUS

Salary:


  • R R17 200 per month dependent on experience
