Job Purpose:


To render a professional technical service through installation, test and evaluation, maintenance and repair of products as well as systems in support of the local and international commercial industry value chains.


Required:
Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12)
N6 Certificate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic)

N Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic)
(Advantage)

Required:
Experience
2-3 Years' experience as a technician
1-2 Years in wiring Control & Instrumentation panels.
Experience in product testing, test specifications and test procedures.
Experience in interfacing equipment at signal level.
Experience in Electronic design.
Experience in Radar, Electronic Warfare and Communications Systems will be an advantage.
Maintenance and repairs of ships systems: Electrical, electronic & control systems (Advantage)


Required:
Knowledge
Sound knowledge of products systems and test specifications in the field of Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
Use and operation of RF test equipment.
Working knowledge of data acquisitioning processing and reduction.
Knowledge of quality systems and calibration standards including international test standards.
Knowledge of different signal interface standards (e.g., RS42, NMEA, Asterix etc.) and data capture systems.
Knowledge of internet protocols and networking standards (e.g., TCP/IP UDP VPNs etc.)
Knowledge of suppliers and manufacturers in appropriate field.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
Valid Driver's License.


Job Specification & Key Responsibilities
Knowledge and competency in the PLCs, fields of instrumentation and drives in fault finding, implementation, design and commissioning.
Installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning PLCs and field instrumentation
Preventative maintenance or Scheduled maintenance PLCs and field instrumentation
Corrective maintenance on PLCs and field instrumentation

Knowledge and competency in the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives, etc in fault finding, implementation, design and commissioning.

Responsible for providing dedicated technical and operational systems support to the process division, as well as ensuring that all systems are maintained and optimized
Installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives
Preventative maintenance or Scheduled maintenance on the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives
Corrective maintenance on the Electrical Panels or Apparatus, Transducer, Motors, UPSs, Drives
Logistics engineering Task like Systems Configuration control
Responsible for appropriate allocated ad hoc tasks (e.g. organisational, technical, sea going, diving, SHEQ, etc.).
