    Water & Wastewater Treatment Project Manager Specialist

    The Specialist Water & Wastewater Treatment Project Manager will lead the establishment and growth of RMS's water treatment business, including overseeing the design, specification, construction, commissioning, and operation of decentralized water and wastewater treatment plants.

    This role involves close collaboration with expert sub-contractors for plant construction and requires demonstrated experience in managing such engagements.

    Minimum Requirements

    1. A relevant engineering degree (civil, chemical, environmental, or related field) is preferred, with professional registration as an advantage.
    2. A minimum 5 years' experience in the design, specification, construction project management, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants is required.
    3. The successful candidate must have proven expertise in decentralized treatment plants with capacities of up to 30 kL/day.
    4. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and optimizing existing water treatment plants is essential.
    5. In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including filtration, disinfection, and recycling technologies, is necessary.
    6. Familiarity with regulatory compliance, environmental standards, and water quality testing protocols is required.
    7. A strong financial acumen to manage project budgets and drive profitability is crucial.
    8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.

    Scope of Duties and Responsibilities

    1. The Water & Wastewater Treatment Project Manager Specialist will lead the development and execution of water and wastewater treatment projects from concept to commissioning.
    2. They will provide technical expertise in process design, specification, and optimization of treatment systems.
    3. The Specialist will manage construction projects through expert sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline constraints.
    4. They will oversee commissioning and operation of new plants, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and environmental standards.
    5. The Specialist will conduct troubleshooting and retro-commissioning of existing treatment plants to improve performance and efficiency.
    6. They will engage with clients to understand requirements and propose tailored water treatment solutions.
    7. The Specialist will ensure seamless integration of water treatment systems with broader sustainability initiatives.
    8. They will monitor and drive project financial performance, ensuring strong gross margin contribution.
    9. The Specialist will develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
