- Manage the lodge's daily operations, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality, anticipating guest needs and providing tailored experiences.
- Oversee staff performance, providing guidance, training, and discipline as needed.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules, preventative measures, and repairs to ensure the lodge's integrity.
- Monitor inventory, manage budgets, and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate with departments, including housekeeping, F&B, and rooms division, to ensure smooth operations and high standards.
- Prepare regular reports for non-resident owners/executive members on lodge activities and notable events.
- At least 5 years' experience in an equivalent position in a 4- to 5-star bush lodge.
- Mature, well-presented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong English language skills, both written and spoken; additional languages such as Afrikaans and Zulu are an asset.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure.
- Proven track record of effective staff management and labor law knowledge (BCEA, LRA).
- Good negotiation skills and ability to work within budgets.
