ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in extracting meaningful insights from data to drive informed decision-making within our organisation, and reporting to our partners.

Your primary responsibility will be to collect, analyse, interpret, and present data in a clear and concise manner. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions to address their needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Collection and Cleaning:

Identify relevant data sources and gather data from various systems and databases.
Develop data collection methodologies and ensure data quality and integrity.
Clean, validate, and transform raw data to prepare it for analysis

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide actionable recommendations.
Use visualisation tools to present data in a visually appealing and understandable manner.

Reporting and Visualisation:

Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to communicate insights.
Create interactive visualisations that enable users to explore data on their own.
Automate data reporting processes and develop scheduled reports for stakeholders.
Collaborate with teams to understand their reporting requirements and provide timely and accurate data reports.

Data-driven Decision Making:

Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Analyse data to identify areas of improvement, optimise processes, and drive business outcomes.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic and operational decisionmaking.

Data Quality Assurance:

Monitor data quality and ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
Implement data governance and data quality frameworks to maintain data integrity.
Identify and resolve data anomalies, discrepancies, and outliers.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in data analysis.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in data analysis workflows.
Propose and implement enhancements to data collection, analysis, and reporting practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

_Minimum_:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related disciplines. A master's degree is a plus
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Metabase, and statistical packages.
Previous experience submitting required data reports with relation to government contract delivery
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience working with large datasets.
Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data findings to nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
