The position of Mining Security Guard is vacant within the Bidvest Security Services Group,.This position will be responsible for the provision of security services to the various Mining Companies and oversee all Crime Prevention/Investigation and Physical Security.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people on the property
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Secure all exits, doors and windows after the end of operations by the mine
- Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
- Conduct plant searches
Minimum requirements
- Grade C, B, A
- Psira registered and up to date
- Excellent communication skills in English verbal and written
- Knowledge and understanding of the search procedure
- No criminal record
- Must be neat and presentable
- Member should be able to write & speak English fluently.
- Clean criminal record
- Must be residing in areas around Ekurhuleni Springs
