Venetia Mine is in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

Currently, we are mining in an open-pit operation and preparations are already under way to convert to underground mining, which is expected to extend the life of the mine to 2046.


Job Description:


  • Support the development and management of systems and processes to facilitate the delivery of the mine's Stakeholder Engagement Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects and programmes and the overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation in line with the social performance strategy through the compilation and analysis of data. Responsible for the updating and maintenance of projects, programmes, plans and systems in the area of responsibility.

KEY RESULT AREAS:


  • Utilize electronic management systems, such as SAP, Isometrix, Enablon and the Diamond Ambassadors, to collate all Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects and programmes and the overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation statistics and data.
  • Monitor and analyse all Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects and programmes and the overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation statistics on progress, performance.
  • Administer the functions of the Community Engagement Forums, Social Investment Steering Committee and all associated subcommittees, such as the Local Area Committee, Sponsorship Committee, Transformation Committee (including the Mining Charter and BBBEE) etc.
  • Facilitates regular monitoring and evaluation activities for the Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment, Transformation and the overall Social and Labour Plan.
  • Support the departmental implementation and monitoring of Safety, Health and Environment management systems thereby assisting in Utilize electronic management systems, such as SAP, Isometrix, Enablon and the Diamond Ambassadors, to collate all Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects and programmes and the overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation statistics and data.

  • Support the coordination, compilation and submission of the mine's Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects and programmes and the overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation reporting requirements for the operation.
  • Provide feedback and follow up with customers on inputs required for Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects, programmes and overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation reporting.
  • Conduct quality assurance on data received.
  • Anticipate and Manage Risks related to Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects, programmes and overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation.
  • Continually strive to improve Stakeholder Engagement, Mine Community Development, Corporate Social Investment plans, projects, programmes and overall Social and Labour Plan and Transformation reporting.
  • Assist with the development of metrics to recruit and select ESD beneficiaries at agreed intervals for the ESD Program;
