    Business Development Manager

    We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in either Pretoria or Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a CA or Marketing degree, CFP and RE 1 and RE 5 (Advantageous) qualifications, as well as a minimum of 5 years experience in the financial services industry.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • People:
      • Building meaningful relationships with wealth advisors to drive practice growth;
      • Sourcing and building a pipeline of advisors/books to purchase;
      • Sharing information with team members regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas;
      • Developing strong relationships with key decision makers on Product Provider level to ensure operational efficiency;
      • Discussing appropriate product characteristics, organizing training, service, and support structures;
      • Building relationships with key distribution partners and those in target market;
      • Managing and coordinating business development initiatives;
      • Coordinating adequate and timely reporting and feedback;
      • Recruiting Value Add Financial Advisors within designated criteria.
    • Legal:
      • Assisting in the arrangement of legal agreements between business partners and integrating contract requirements with internal business operations;
      • Ensuring high-level due diligence on Product Providers Processes.
    • Administrative:
      • Monitoring and reporting on sales, operations, and profitability;
      • Liaising with financial advisers and addressing sales/product issues, explaining product details and concepts where applicable;
      • Giving feedback regarding information pertaining to the performance of outputs;
      • Implementing management decisions, ensuring rollout, and that decisions are actioned;
      • Ensuring timely reporting to advisors on their business growth;
      • Ensuring advisors adhere to system usage and processes within Company.
    • Technology:
      • Applying systems and processes to obtain, coordinate, and apply product-specific information CRM and CIS.
    • Growth:
      • Driving Growth Strategy as set out in VCP.
    • Marketing:
      • Facilitating the development of marketing and communication materials and monitoring correct application;
      • Assisting advisers with marketing activities, discussing possible advantages, and creating/providing target market initiatives.
    • Sales:
      • Ensuring Revenue, AUA, and GWP growth through advisor business and any other advisor-related initiative.

      R850,000 - R1,200,000 per annum
