    Cloud Support Engineer

    Amazon Web Services is the leading cloud technology organization, driving innovation and growth in the industry. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer success by providing technical expertise and support for our global list of companies and developers.

    We are looking for individuals who prefer solving challenging technical issues, leveraging the latest cloud computing technologies, and helping customers understand application architectures and integration approaches.     About Your Role

    1. You will learn and use cutting-edge technologies to provide innovative solutions to our customers' individual needs.
    2. You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex customer issues.
    3. You will interact with leading engineers around the world and work directly with Amazon Web Services architects to reproduce and resolve customer issues.
    4. You will leverage your extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services.
    5. You will drive customer communication during critical events and projects that improve support-related processes and our customers' technical support experience.

    Your Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position.
    • Knowledge/experience in enterprise systems administration in Windows Server and related services (Active Directory, DNS, IIS, MSSQL).
    • Knowledge of Windows troubleshooting tools (WinDbg, Windows Sysinternals, perfmon, WPR/WPA).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with System Administration with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server and associated technologies (Active Directory, Exchange).
    • Experience in Networking technologies including DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP and Load Balancing.
    • Experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP).

    Compensation and Benefits

    The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
