Nature of employment:

The successful incumbent will be employed on a permanent basis after completion of a probationary period.


Experience

The successful incumbent will have at least two (2) or more years experience as a Personal Assistant preferably within the Financial Services industry OR a B-degree with at least two (2) or more years experience as a Personal Assistant.


Formal education and qualifications as a minimum requirement

  • Matric
  • A Bdegree within the Financial Services
  • Successfully completed the Regulatory Exam for representatives (RE5) exam would be advantageous
  • Must be computer literate on a basic to intermediary level on Microsoft software
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills
  • Must be able to work independently with the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads
  • Must have the ability to follow established processes
  • Own transport and cellular telephone is mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Keeping of electronic diary and organizing the advisors time management;
  • Preparing of reports, presentations, and other correspondence;
  • Coordinate engagements and events, keeping of notes, scheduling of meetings, booking of venues etc;
  • First point of contact with client enquiries;
  • Maintain client relations;
  • Record keeping of client data on relevant data base system;
  • Preparation of client files according to legislation;
  • Liaising with staff and suppliers when necessary.
  • Attending to client consultations for new business and servicerelated needs;
  • Maintaining of existing business;
  • Establishing and defining a professional relationship with clients;
  • The implementation of financial planning recommendations;
  • The monitoring of the financial planning recommendations;
  • Oversee the administration of a financial planning practice, including but not limited to compliance, revisions, marketing opportunities, etc.
