Job Overview

We are looking for a DTP Operator who is an individual that is proud of his/her work, who is efficient and would be an asset to the company.

Requirements:

Graphic design experience
Experience working as a DTP Operator is an advantage
Formal qualification in Graphic Design is an advantage
Experience using large format flat bed and roll to roll printing
Knowledge of the Swiss Q Nyala and Océ Printer would be an advantage
Proficiency using Coral draw, Graphix Advantage
OMEGA and any other design packages would be an advantage.
Ability to understand graphic specifications terminology
Ability to colour match and do colour correction an advantage
Knowledge of sign construction and specification would be an advantage
Independent thinker
Ability to work well in a team

Duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Set up Digital print
Quality control of electronic layout and art files prior to putting orders into the print workflow
Coordinate daily work orders for printing
Follow job schedule
Assist with material selection
Knowledge of vinyl, foam core board, plastic, acrylic, paper stock and more
Maintain accurate archive files
Troubleshoot print job and / or equipment

- Intermediate to advance in Coral draw

Experience:

Coral Draw: 2 years (required)
Graphic Design: 1 year (preferred)
