Kendric Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Field Guide to join our Client's dynamic and passionate guiding team at an exclusive 5-star Luxury Lodge based in the Cape Town area.

As a Field Guide, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences and guiding them on various activities and excursions.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and guide guests on various activities such as hiking, biking, canoeing, stargazing, night drives, fly fishing, and archery.
  • Provide knowledgeable and engaging commentary on the local flora, fauna, and cultural heritage, including fynbos and Rock Art.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests during activities, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Continuously enhance guests' experiences through storytelling, interpretation, and personalized service.
  • Assist with other lodge operations and guestrelated duties as required.

Requirements:


  • FGASA Level 1 qualification or higher.
  • Valid first aid certificate.
  • DEAT Registration in the Western Cape.
  • Knowledge of fynbos vegetation and local wildlife.
  • Familiarity with Rock Art would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
