    Description

    Job Title: Specialist, ALM Systems Development and Support

    Business Segment: Group Functions

    Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

    The role involves driving the Liquidity Risk and Assets and Liability Management production cycle for the bank using relevant calculation engines while ensuring high-quality data compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes designing, maintaining, and validating inputs and configurations of the engines and leading projects to deliver efficient reporting and functionality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement risk calculation models in line with business requirements.
    • Oversee the quality and validity of data inputs into calculation engines.
    • Manage project implementation to deliver fit-for-purpose reporting and functionality.
    • Collaborate with regional teams to drive projects aligned with regional requirements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or Mathematical Sciences.
    • 5-7 years of experience in risk calculation engine design and management.
    • Experience in Liquidity Risk and Balance Sheet management within a Bank.
    • Strong mathematical and statistical skills with ability to automate models using SQL, SAS, and/or VB.
    • Understanding of OLAB and ability to design multi-dimensional analyses.
