Reddam House Constantia is located in the beautiful Constantia Valley, opposite the award winning Steenberg vineyard and golf estate. ROLE SUMMARY:

To adopt an aspirant view to students in their care, promoting the progress and wellbeing of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. Under their guidance our students will become Interested and Interesting To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential. To design and lead an age appropriate, scaled learning programme that develops players and teams for high performance learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meet and manage all safeguarding protocols and policies
Manage all Hockey and Cricket teams, coaches, fixtures, events and supporting logistics
Coach in at least one of the Sporting codes therein to plan, prepare and present engaging sessions
Teach a Grade 8 and or 9 Physical Education class
Attend relevant Reddam sports tours as either the coach or manager
Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour, and standards of work
Consistently evaluate, reflect on and develop their and our practice
Exemplify qualities of 'good', care, effort and kindness at all times
To be a Tutor teacher, ensuring effective pastoral care for a group of students
Where relevant, write informative report comments
To undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Heads / Heads of Sport determine

Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals
Adaptable style that drives for high performance
Ability to judge learning effectiveness
Excellent preparation and planning
Assessment of student outcomes to enhance performance
The ability to engage and 'interest' children
A minimum of
3years' experience in Sport administration / leadership
The ability to contribute to a high performing team
Outstanding administrative skills
Excellence in communication clear, concise, and consistent
Strategic competency in using word, excel, google docs and classroom
A commitment to advancing the capability of the adults under their care
A commitment to advancing the capability of themselves.
First Aid Training
Appropriate legal right to work in a South African school
University degree in an appropriate course and/or a Diploma in Sports' Management
SACE accreditation
