    Job Description

    We're seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in South Africa. As an Off-Site Maintenance Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Off-Site Maintenance Support
      • Maintenance centre checklist and general store upkeep: Inspect areas as per the maintenance centre store checklist and highlight any anomalies to the team.
      • Tool Calibration: Monitor special tools calibration in line with the calibration schedule. Recall tools to be calibrated and arrange transfer to the Service Provider.
      • Checking of Lifting Equipment: Arrange quarterly checks with the Service Provider. Keep records.
      • Consumables: Monitor use of consumables (oils and greases) in terms of availability and shelf life. Replenish with supplier as needed.
      • Tool replacement: Manage process of replacement, from quote to delivery.
      • Off-site preparation: Assist field technician to prepare for off-site intervention – liaise with CSR for documentation and travel arrangements.
      • Production: Maintain off-site intervention schedule.
      • Document control: Collect and scan workpacks on return from off-site. Control workpacks until transferred to SHE UK.
      • Quality: Perform basic audits and highlight anomalies/findings.
    2. Logistic Support
      • Receipt of shipments: Liaise with Supplier, freight forwarder, and SEDSA for smooth receipt of shipments to Johannesburg satellite station.
      • Dispatch of Shipments: Liaise with Freight forwarder and consignee for shipment preparation.
      • Logistic support for off-site intervention: Shipment and return of tools. Ensure tools and parts have delivered in line with off-site planning.
    3. Business Administration/Cost Control/SLA Administration
      • Maintain file system for expenses, scanning documents electronically. Transfer original documents to SEDSA periodically.
      • Capturing data regarding expenses. Liaise with SEDSA to compare claims submitted to HEUK with maintained data.
      • Assist locally in SA regarding business administration topics such as Cell Phone contracts, vehicle rental.
      • Liaise with SEDSA on coordination of SLA activities.
    4. CSR Support
      • Assisting CSR with quote preparation for off-site intervention – completion of offsite quote form and liaison with FTECH to obtain spares lists.
      • Follow up with customer on counterpart returns.
    5. Quality
      • Support SAFRAN HE UK quality department during audits from authorities.
      • Interface with SACAA and respond to queries from authorities.
    6. Other
      • Event preparation: Assist in liaison and preparation of events planned.
      • Liaise with HEUK to maintain local stock of customer goodies.
      • Attend daily QRQC and lead production schedule meeting.
      • HSE: Attend HSE meetings with SEDSA and coordinate HSE activities.
      • Coordinate facility cleaners.
      • 5S: Coordinate 5 S activities.

      Requirements

      • Experience in Aerospace Industry: 5 years.
      • Experience leading a team of AME: 3 years.
      • Knowledge of regulatory environment, SACAA, and EASA.
      • Knowledge of SAFRAN HE products and environment desirable.
      • Autonomous and self-driven.
      • Ability to work independently and set own priorities. Remote working.
      • Computer literate working with office packages and SAP.
