    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    Health and Safety

  • Maintain stores practises in line with relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
  • Participate in site internal audits
  • Manage flammable liquid store, gas stores and hazardous waste area in line with legislative requirements
  • Manage issuing and control of lock-out tag out equipment.
  • Manage issuing and replenishment of PPE
  • Manage storage and control of chemicals (cleaning and other) and ensure updating and control of site master MSDS file.
  • Management and control of lifting equipment, ensuring compliance and testing in line with legislative requirements (slings, lifting tackle, chain blocks etc.)
  • Ensure good housekeeping in Stores facilities including Satellite stores

    Food Safety
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the stores
  • Maintain compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Implementation of 5S
  • Manage issuing and replenishment of consumables to the production teams to enable cleaning etc. (including cotton webbing, cleaning material and chemicals).
  • Manage storage and control in line with AIB and FSSC requirements (separation of food safe and non-food safe lubricants etc.)

    Stock Management
  • Request engineering goods and services, in line with engineering standards to ensure acceptable supplier service levels
  • Control aspects of Engineering Stores (including all satellite stores such as cutter stores, oven band stores, PPE stores and any other specific storage locations) relating to verifying inventory accuracy, stock accuracy, stock movement and stock shortages
  • Facilitate review of slow moving spares in line with business requirements in order to balance capital impact of stock on hand.
  • Manage space availability in line with storage requirements in order to ensure optimal balance.
  • Manage allocation of spares to correct cost centres and GL accounts in order to facilitate control and monitoring of engineering budget.
  • Manage process of processing (GRN) invoices as executed by storeman for all engineering related purchasing.

    Systems Management
  • Perform the following functions using SAP:
  • Manage Stock Purchasing
  • reviewing MRP generated PR's and prioritising execution through buyers
  • creating PR's for consumables and other non-stock / fast moving items.

  • Manage inventory volume and value (Facilitate weekly / monthly / annual stock counts and champion discrepancy investigations)
  • Ensure development, updating and implementation of stock management policies and procedures in order to ensure adequate control.
  • Conduct internal audits in line with business requirements to test existing controls.
  • Ensure all stock items are accurately captured in SAP, with BIN locations matching locations in field.
  • Manage redundant stock (continuously checking obsolescence reports, stock movement reports, validity of spares and descriptions etc.)
  • Manage the SAP MRP requirements (continuously reviewing parameters for correctness, verifying minimum order quantities, minimum stock level, spare criticality classifications etc.)
  • Current stock and stock value
  • Control of Rotable spares and Capital spares including relevant movement types (booking out capital spare, booking refurbished spares back into stock, ensuring relevant moving averages are applied, ensuring relevant stock return transactions are completed)

  • Manage and maintain material master data (SAP info records and source list and updating new stock items requests.)

    People Management
  • Develop and manage KPI's for direct reports (storeman)
  • Identify training requirements for direct reports and facilitate closing out of training interventions.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

  • 3 years' Stores Controller / Store Supervisor experience gained within an Engineering environment
  • 3 years Supervisory / Management Experience
  • Previous experience within the FMCG / Manufacturing sector would be ideal

    Qualifications:
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in Inventory Management, Warehousing, Engineering or related

    Additional Requirements:
  • Stock Management practices and principles
  • Sound Technical/ Engineering knowledge
  • Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulations (FSSC 22000, AIB and ISO)
  • Competency working on SAP (non-negotiable)
  • MS Office package knowledge
  • Advanced proficiency on MS Excel is essential
