FOOD SERVICE EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN - PORT ELIZABETH, EAST LONDON, JOHANNESBURG, CAPE TOWN - R14000 to R27000 CTC + Comp Vehicle, Cell/Data Allowance, Incentive based on productivity.

Are you passionate about technical support and problem-solving? Do you have experience working with Catering Equipment and Appliances? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's team as a Technician at their reputable Catering Supply Company based in Port Elizabeth, East London, Johannesburg or Cape Town

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of catering equipment such as ovens, grills, refrigerators, dishwashers, and coffee machines.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, identifying the root cause of problems and implementing effective solutions.
Perform equipment installations and ensure proper functioning according to manufacturer specifications.
Collaborate with the sales team and customers to provide technical advice and recommendations on suitable equipment based on their requirements.
Keep accurate records of service reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technical advancements to enhance your expertise and provide valuable insights to the team.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a technician or similar role, preferably in the catering or food service industry.
Strong technical skills and knowledge of catering equipment, including ovens, grills, refrigerators, dishwashers, and coffee machines.
Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and gas systems associated with catering equipment.
Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues efficiently.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with customers and team members.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
A technical qualification or certification in a relevant field will be advantageous.
