KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate the following tasks:
  • Managing of the night shift and ensuring the nursing care activities carried out comply with the S.A.N.C. regulations relevant legislations and Aloecrest policies and procedures and meet the requirements of quality patient care.
  • Cocoordinating unit activities with all other hospital departments to ensure optimal cooperation.
  • Managing nursing staff according to the Ward Management System to ensure adequate and cost effective staffing, maintenance of satisfactory working relationships, performance management etc.
  • Monitoring the cleanliness and hygiene for all Units, and ensuring adherence to infection control policies and procedures, as well as safety policies and procedures.
  • Participating as a key member of the hospital management team.
  • Coordinate & monitor staff competencies and do coaching and mentoring where necessary.

EDUCATION

  • Must be a Registered Nurse and be registered with SANC.

Competencies required:
Strong customer orientation, team player, very energetic, well organized.

  • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be willing to fulfill a Management role in the wards according to the flexihours system.
  • Proven leadership abilities a prerequisite.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
R22, R33,000.00 per month


Education:


  • Diploma (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
