UP Professional and Support
Apprentices' responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to research programs in the Geotechnical laboratories
  • Operate research equipment in the Geotechnical laboratories (including the large geotechnical centrifuge capable of accelerating 1 ton to 150 g)
  • Assist students with measurement and logging equipment in the Geotechnical laboratories
  • Assist with mechanical and electronic research equipment development and manufacturing
  • Assist with practicals for students
  • Oversee and manage maintenance and cleaning of the Geotechnical laboratories

Prior work experience not required

Benefits of internship

  • Millwright / megatronic / electrician technician students
  • Languages: English (spoken and written);
  • Between 18 and 35 of age.

Remuneration
R9 000 per month (40 hours per week)
