Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to support and conduct financial and accounting operations of our group entities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Honours, or equivalent, and relevant experience with SAGE 300.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support and conduct financial and accounting operations of the group entities
Prepare cash flow forecasts and budgets
Ensure seamless processing of cash inflows and outflows
Review Treasury work, including Equipment Maintenance, Petty Cash controls, Tender Type Maintenance, and Receipt of Monies from branches/stores
Reconcile bank statements to SAGE GL and follow up on variances
Review bank reconciliations completed by treasury clerks
Review payments loaded and authorise when payments can be submitted for release
Liaise with signatories and ensure all payments are released successfully
Manage new beneficiaries on the banking system
Petty cash control and safekeeping
Review budgets vs actual allocations
Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
Drive the month-end and year-end closing process
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review income statement account reconciliations
Review the general ledger for accuracy
Assist with audit queries

Requirements:

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Honours (or equivalent)
Experience with SAGE 300 (advantageous)
Strong leadership skills

Organizational, planning and analytical skills
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Salary: We offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, between $60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
