    External Sales Representative Vredenburg, West Coast, Cape Town R18 500 to R22 500 CTC with benefits

    Overview:

    A prominent supplier of bearings, power transmission, and related products is looking for an External Sales Representative, responsible for conducting face-to-face interactions with new and existing customers. Offer the best customer experience, demonstrate technical expertise, and drive external sales in a specific area.

    Dealings with: Reports to:

    Internal Staff

    External Customers

    Reports to Branch Manager

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Grade 12 or equivalent National Certificate NQF Level 4

    Strong background in product knowledge (bearings, power transmission, and allied products)

    3-5 years of industry-related sales experience

    Valid drivers license, reliable vehicle, and cell phone

    Skilled in oral and written communication, basic arithmetic, and computer skills

    Previous experience with CRM and familiarity with Sage or similar ERP system

    Knowledge, Skills, and Behavioral Attributes:

    Well-groomed, neat, and well-presented

    Quick thinker with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-handling skills

    Self-starter, able to work independently with attention to detail

    Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, ratios and percentages) in order to draw up quotations

    Collaborative team player with good timekeeping and planning skills

    Key Performance Areas:

    Effective interaction with customers and stakeholders

    Emotionally resilient with conflict-handling skills

    Basic metrology and understanding of finance

    Achievement of sales targets

    Collaborate with colleagues on selling strategies

    Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
