    Job Title: HR Manager

    Reporting to the Head of People and Talent, this role is responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the People Administrator to ensure seamless execution of global transactional HR processes, focusing on quality assurance and timely completion of administrative tasks including onboarding, probation management, performance management, and offboarding.
    • Oversee payroll data preparation for global payroll in partnership with the People Administrator, ensuring accurate and timely submission of monthly information to Payroll, covering employee changes, absences, and benefits.
    • Take charge of South Africa office facilities management, encompassing preventative maintenance, repairs, modifications, insurance, and security.
    • Maintain well-functioning basic office facilities such as water and heating, adhering to government regulations.
    • Process requests for flexible working arrangements, maternity/paternity/adoption leave, and time off for dependents.
    • Assist managers in handling low-level Employee Relations (ER) issues like absence management, grievances, and disciplinary actions, aligning with company policy and local employment legislation.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex HR queries, ensuring timely resolution according to company policies and employment law. Provide clear guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to managers and employees.
    • Conduct exit interviews when employees leave the business, providing regular graphical data.
    • Support managers in preparing job descriptions and person specifications for recruitment purposes.
    • Collaborate with the Head of People and Talent on projects and initiatives, including streamlining onboarding/offboarding processes, upgrading HR systems, and introducing new benefits.
    • Assist in updating relevant policies and procedures in line with changing needs.
    • Support the Head of People and Talent in implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Wellbeing initiatives.
    • Aid in delivering data analysis, reporting, and cleansing tasks.

    Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

    • Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager with full HR remit understanding.
    • Proven ability to work independently, taking ownership of initiatives and driving results.
    • Strong knowledge and communication skills regarding HR processes and policies in compliance with SA employment law.
    • Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
    • Commitment to delivering exceptional employee experiences.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
    • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

    • Experience mentoring HR team members is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with variations in global employment law would be advantageous.
