Description

To create a timeous, safe, efficient, and smooth-running service for the transportation of cargo, catering, crew, and ground staff on the Apron and Airport.

Will also perform any other duties that the Ops Controller and/or Duty Manager may deem necessary from time to time.

1) Responsible for loading and unloading all cargo, catering items, and company mail.

2) Responsible for transfer, deliveries, and collections of all cargo, catering items, and company to and from the warehouse(s) and aircraft.

3) Responsible that the assigned vehicle is kept clean and in good condition, any mechanical issues are reported immediately to the Duty Manager to ensure safe and efficient services

4) Assist with flight catering.

5) 100 % two-way radio communications including routine testing of the radio's

6) Assist with Crew and Ground staff transport

7) Ensure that all procedures around Cargo manifesting and loading as described in the Cargo Procedures Manual (CGO Vol A) are adhered to.

8) Ensuring all transportation of Airlink staffs are recorded in a Transport Log.

9) Ensuring vehicle checklist is completed at time of vehicle acceptance.

10) Responsible for checking validity of vehicle related permits and to report any anomalies such as expiry date.

11) Responsible for the transportation of authorized personnel only

12) Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with Company Standards as laid out in the manuals of procedure, and Occupational Health and Safety Standards and operational instructions

13) Will assist with any additional tasks within the context of the job description.

Experience:

- aviation industry regulations: 3 years (required)

- driver: 3 years (required)

Dangerous goods CAT8: 1 year (required)
MS Basic computer knowledge: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:
- code 10 and PDP (required)
