Responsibilities:


  • Manage, Coordinate raw material intake and storage within stock management principles
  • Optimise raw material intake and safety stock levels ( Pack Material, Vitamins, Maize, etc)
  • Manage production plant effective settings to achieve optimum efficiencies.
  • Managed and Execute on Food Safety Systems implemented to protect consumer and brand image
  • Optimised Efficiency through people, plant, machinery and equipment
- ]Ensured safety, health & hygiene systems and principles are adhered to

  • Approved and managed capital projects and managed team
  • Engage with Maintenance Dept, Plan, Organise and execute on preventative maintenance.
  • Manage and execute Human Capital development, engagement, motivation, performance and compliance to Company policies, procedures and code of conduct.
  • Manage availability of Customer collections of Offal (Hominy Chop), including weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Six years relevant experience within the manufacturing environment.
  • Must have Maize and / or Wheat Milling certificate / Diploma (Vacancy is at a White Star Maize Mill)
  • Degree and/or Diploma in Production Management or similar qualification
  • Proficiency / Trained with SHEQ principles
  • Advantage will be competency in the skill of Coaching, Leading and developing employee / teams.
  • Knowledge of cooking and processing of maize into meal
  • Pre Cooked Maize Meal
