    Job Description:

    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop/Implement appropriate project systems (Organisational structures, business processes, controls and technologies) to develop, track and manage the extent of the programme.
  • Establish and manage key internal (Operations, BU, Group and Technical disciplines) and external (Local & provincial government, communities, external contractors, consultants etc) relationships required to ensure successful delivery of the programme.
  • Emphasis is made to establish healthy working relations, effective communication with Site SP and SED managers.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the programme and guide the development of talent within it.
  • Ensure full transparency (reporting) of studies and sanctioned projects supported by a rigorous QA process of the input data. Reporting should include, as a minimum, the below topics and in all cases variance against plan or ideal, root cause of any variance and remedial actions to address:
  • Business Case tracking (Value tracking), Project progress tracking Risk Governance and controls
  • The Programme delivers on time and to the required Anglo American standards at each stage-gate
  • Required business processes are in place to ensure optimal execution of the programme Reporting / communication is transparent, verified and timely Programme achieves objectives as required by the business Client (Operation) satisfaction.
  • Ensure Project milestones are met
  • Ensure Project activities completed within budget
  • Human recourse development plans are in place and managed standards, and CA&SI governance.
  • All project activity is performed with adherence to the strictest ethical standards
  • Qualifications:
  • University degree/higher diploma/B Tech NQF7
  • Qualification in Project Management
  • Valid EB/Code 08 driver's licence
  • Desirable

  • Professional registration (PMP, SACPCMP)
  • Experience:

  • 7-10 years experience
