Description

We are looking for a customer focused, multi-discipline experienced individual to fulfil the role of Artisan/electrician for the Facilities Management function.

The Artisan/electrician will be responsible for the Facilities Management of the various sites the company manages for its clients in the Western Cape.

• Facilities management of sites (inspection, maintenance of buildings)
• Management and organization of planned preventative and scheduled maintenance for all facilities
• Stakeholder management
• Advice and Implement resource management
• Equipment Management
• Management of Contractors and service providers
• Managing all preventative, remedial and upgrade works required for the upkeep and improvement of buildings
• Preparation, control and monitoring of the service agreement
• Compile and maintain all required management information/records. This includes asset register, emergency plans and all related records and management reports
• Issue COC''s
• Repair and maintain generators
• Repair and maintain airconditioning units
• Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
• Be available at short notice for emergencies

• Qualified Electrician with a minimum of 5 years experience
• Red Seal (Electrician)
• Previous facilities management experience, this includes line management responsibility and contractor management nonnegotiable
• Drivers license
• Willing to travel extensively
• Supervisory or Management experience preferably in a similar environment
