We are looking for a Mechanical Technician who has a can-do attitude that will assist with the assembly, integration and testing of our products to ensure the highest quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and documentation of test setups.
• Testing and troubleshooting of mechanical and instrumentation systems.
• Sourcing of materials.
• Fabrication of test equipment.
• Adhoc fabrication turning, milling and welding.
• Sourcing and cutting material.
• Workshop housekeeping.
• Generate high quality reports on all work done.

Requirements:

Execution of the duties and responsibilities pertaining to the position demands the following experience, skills and knowledge:

• At least a

National Diploma Engineering:
Mechanical or equivalent qualification.

• 35 years practical handson experience in a mechanical workshop.
• CAD experience.
• Excel and MSWord exposure.
• Experience in electronics and Industrial Automation.
• Electronic soldering, making up cables and connectors.
• Quality focus.
• Geometric design and simple sizing calculations.
• Valid Code B Driver's license.
• Willingness to learn and grow.

Special working conditions
Overseas travel to client sites could be required from time-to-time.

• Cape Town,

Western Cape:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)


Education:

• Diploma (required)

Experience:

- practical hands-on experience in a mechanical workshop: 3 years (required)
