    Description

    Data Specialist Position

    One of South Africa's leading banks is searching for a Data Specialist with advanced database, software engineering, and programming skills.

    The primary objective of this role is to guarantee that the required data is correctly stored on the cloud platform and made accessible to data scientists.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and Implement Data Infrastructure: Develop, implement, and maintain robust and scalable data systems to meet business needs.
    • Data Modelling and Engineering: Create efficient data models and integrate them into cloud-based platforms.
    • Cloud Services and Architecture: Implement data services on cloud platforms using No-SQL databases.
    • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide assistance and resolve technical issues related to data storage and retrieval.

    Requirements:

    • Education: A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in programming, data modelling, and system engineering.
    • Skills: Proficiency in SQL, SSIS Packages, System architecture, and technical test plan design.
