Duty Manager - Cape Town - The Royal Portfolio

The Duty Manager is a crucial role that oversees the daily operations of our hotel. This position ensures that we meet and exceed the standards set by The Royal Portfolio, which is "To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay".

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional guest interaction and satisfaction.
Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, anticipating and catering to their needs.
Maintain guest and staff satisfaction through effective interdepartmental communication and liaison.
Support the Rooms Division and Food & Beverage Department in managing hotel operations.
In the General Manager's absence, assume senior management responsibilities and serve as the hotel's point of contact.
Ensure all decisions prioritize the company's interest while prioritizing guest and staff safety.
Monitor health and safety throughout the hotel.
Lead site inspections and guide guests around the property.
Cultivate a deep understanding of our company's purpose and values, ensuring the hotel embodies TRP Culture.

Requirements and Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in a luxury 5-star establishment.
3 years' experience in Room Division (desired).
3 years' experience in Food & Beverage (desired).
3 years' experience in Housekeeping (desired).
A minimum of 5 years' hotel management experience.
Diploma in Hospitality.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
International language proficiency (desired).
Familiarity with systems such as Micros (POS), Opera (PMS), and Microsoft Office.

This role requires excellent teamwork and cultural fit within The Royal Portfolio. South African citizenship is advantageous, and a valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document. Additionally, it is a condition of employment that all staff undergo a pre-employment polygraph test.

Salary: R750,000 - R900,000 per annum
