Why do we need you? Job Purpose**To Innovate; Develop, Evaluate, and Test products and solutions within the R&D department for Saint-Gobain Weber. Help to reduce RMP; align formulations and systems and support their implementation in cooperation with the purchasing and industrial teams. Evaluate and Test new and existing raw materials used in the formulations to optimise performance; costs and strategy alignment.


Is this job for you? Qualifications required to fulfil the role**- Relevant Diploma or Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemistry/Chemical or Material Sciences.


Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role

  • Minimum of 1 year in a relevant R&D environment preferably cementitious.


  • Computer Literacy

  • MS Word; PowerPoint; Excel etc
  • Knowledge of Construction markets within the Saint-Gobain Construction Products' profile will be an added advantage.
  • Organic and Inorganic Chemical Materials.
  • Formulating.
  • Marketing and Operational Solutions.
  • Basic Chemical laboratory Equipment.
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 900
  • EHS Practices.
  • Autonomous.
  • Disciple/Commitment.
  • Adopt to multicultural Environment.
  • Capacity to analyse and Synthesis.
  • Business and Technical report writing.
  • Communication.

To make sure nothing is forgotten Key Accountabilities**- Projects Management.

  • Saint-Gobain Weber NPD process.
  • R&D procedures and Methods.
  • Reports.
  • Documentation.
  • Testing of existing and New products.
  • Competitors Products Testing and Evaluation.
  • Application and testing of different Raw materials to develop new products and Solutions.
  • Manage and order consumables required for testing in R&D.
  • Maintain Equipment in good conditions to ensure that they are always working properly and Calibrated if necessary.
  • All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required.
  • Ensure that the potentially new and existing products are free from any EHS and purchasing risk.
